Day training programs cover everything from solving a particular behaviour issue to a creating a fully trained dog from scratch
Two-Week Mischief Managed Program
Your dog’s general behaviour is fine, but there’s one thing that’s driving you crazy like pulling on leash, jumping on people or playing keep-away when you call him. A two-week fix-up may be just what you’re looking for to set things straight.
Your dog learns:
- Whatever is needed to solve that one nagging problem that you just can’t figure out. Your dog may also learn some extra behaviours in the process such as better focus or impulse control or a better recall.
Program includes:
- primary consultation to determine your dog’s training needs, your priorities, and to create a custom training plan to get the job done
- two weeks of dog training in your home or other suitable environment
- three 60-minute training sessions per week
- one 60-minute transfer lesson each week where I teach you and family members the skills needed to maintain the training
- regular training updates and videos so you can keep abreast of your dog’s progress and what he is learning
Best suited for:
- dogs that have some training, but whose owners need help with a particular problem
- trained dogs whose owners want to teach a new skill such as off-leash walking
- dogs whose training needs refreshing
Cost: $800 + taxes plus traveling fees if applicable
Four-week Training Foundations Program
This program can get your new dog or puppy off to a great start with some basic behaviours and manners to bring more sanity to the home.
Your dog learns:
- polite greetings: greeting people calmly instead of mouthing or jumping
- leash manners: I’ll get your dog started with the rudiments of walking nicely on leash without pulling
- recalls: your dog will learn to come when called on and off leash in low distracting environments
- basic commands: sit, down, stay and drop-it
- giving attention to handler: essential when working with any dog
Program includes:
- primary consultation to determine your dog’s training needs, your priorities, and to create a custom training plan to get the job done
- four weeks of dog training in your home or other suitable environment
- three 60-minute training sessions per week
- one 60-minute transfer lesson each week where I teach you and family members the skills needed to maintain the training
- regular training updates and videos so you can keep abreast of your dog’s progress and what he is learning
Best suited for:
- people who have some dog training experience
- puppies or dogs who are pretty easy going, have no major behaviour issues but need basic training
Cost: $1500 + taxes plus traveling fees if applicable
Six-Week Paragon Pooch Program
Reach for the top with this very comprehensive program. I’ll teach your dog the most essential skills to be a stable, well-mannered family dog.
Your dog learns:
- polite greetings: greeting people calmly instead of mouthing or jumping
- wait at a door: not running out when a delivery person or visitor comes to the house
- leash manners: walking calmly on a loose leash without pulling you
- recalls: your dog will learn to come when called on and off leash in different environments with and without some distractions
- basic commands: sit, down, stay and drop-it with higher criteria (greater duration, distance and/or distraction)
- focus and attention on handler: essential when working with any dog
- going to a station: dog goes to a bed, crate or other place on cue
- impulse control and leave a distraction: to prevent counter surfing or stealing other items
Program includes:
- primary consultation to determine your dog’s training needs, your priorities, and to create a custom training plan to get the job done
- six weeks of dog training in your home or other suitable environment
- three 60-minute training sessions per week
- one 60-minute transfer lesson each week where I teach you and family members the skills needed to maintain the training
- regular training updates and videos so you can keep abreast of your dog’s progress and what he is learning
- two optional troubleshooting or follow-up training sessions with you to address any problem areas or confusion after the training
